Privacy Policy
Effective September 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Resume Vexa handles information when you build or upload a resume, use ATS and job-matching tools, search for jobs, create a sign-in, or make an optional support payment.
Information you provide
Resume Vexa may process information you enter into the service, including your name, email address, resume or CV content, employment and education history, skills, job-search preferences, job descriptions, application-tracker entries, and other text you choose to provide.
Resume uploads and browser storage
PDF, DOCX, and TXT resume uploads used by the current resume and matching tools are read in your browser to extract text. Resume drafts, template choices, application-tracker entries, selected jobs, and some workspace preferences may also be stored in your browser using local storage. Clearing your browser site data can remove those locally stored items.
Account and session information
When you create or use a Resume Vexa sign-in, the current service uses signed, HTTP-only cookies for account and session information. Session cookies are configured to expire after seven days, while the local account cookie may remain for up to twelve months unless you clear site data or your browser removes it earlier.
Payments and optional support
Optional support payments are processed by Stripe. Resume Vexa does not receive or store your full payment-card number. Stripe may provide us with information such as payment status, amount, currency, Checkout identifiers, and other transaction metadata needed to confirm and administer a payment.
Job search and third-party services
When you search for jobs, search terms such as role, keywords, location, or remote preference may be sent to enabled job-source APIs. Resume matching is designed to use your resume information in the browser unless a feature clearly states that information will be sent to another service. Links to external job boards and employers are governed by their own privacy practices.
How information is used
Information is used to provide and secure Resume Vexa, operate resume and ATS tools, maintain sign-in sessions, process optional support payments, return job-search results, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and improve the reliability and usability of the service.
Analytics and device data
Resume Vexa may store limited first-party usage counters in your browser, such as page-view, session, route, and donation-click counts. These local counters are intended for basic product analytics and remain on the device unless a separate analytics service is introduced and disclosed.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to the current service, including HTTPS in production, signed cookies, HTTP-only session cookies, server-side secrets, same-origin request checks, and Stripe webhook signature verification. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can remove locally stored Resume Vexa data by clearing this site’s browser data. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights relating to personal information, such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. For requests relating to information that is not stored only on your device, contact us at support@resumevexa.com.
Data retention
Locally stored resume and workspace information remains in your browser until you delete it, clear site data, or the browser removes it. Payment records are retained by Stripe according to Stripe’s policies and applicable legal requirements. We retain server-side operational information only as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, payment administration, or legal obligations.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
