Resume Vexa FAQ
Straight answers about the resume builder, ATS scoring, AI suggestions, downloads, and privacy.
Getting Started
Can I upload an existing resume?
Yes. Uploading PDF and DOCX is part of the intended workflow. Imported information should be reviewed before it is saved because document parsing can make mistakes.
Can I create multiple resumes?
Yes. The product is designed to support multiple targeted resume versions connected to different jobs or companies.
Free Resume Builder
Is Resume Builder free?
Yes. Resume Vexa is being configured as a free, donation-supported product. Core resume building, ATS tools, job matching, AI assistance, exports, application tracking, and interview tools can be offered without a subscription paywall. Fair-use limits may still apply to expensive AI actions to protect the service from abuse.
Can I download my resume as a PDF for free?
Yes. The product requirement is to provide a free PDF export without redirecting users into a surprise payment screen.
ATS
How do I know if my resume is ATS friendly?
Check headings, typography, columns, tables, graphics, file format, keywords, skills, and job-title relevance. The ATS checker surfaces these as optimization signals.
Can a resume builder guarantee I pass ATS?
No. Employers use different systems and hiring processes. The tool can improve compatibility but cannot guarantee acceptance or an interview.
AI Resume Builder
Will AI make up experience on my resume?
No. The product must not intentionally invent experience, education, skills, achievements, certifications, employers, or metrics.
Can AI tailor my resume to a job description?
Yes. It can compare your resume with the job and suggest changes, but factual changes should remain under your approval.
Privacy
Is my resume information private?
The product is designed around user-controlled deletion, data export, clear processing explanations, and no training on uploaded personal documents without explicit consent. Production deployment should publish the exact retention and AI-processing policies used by the configured services.
